What do I need to do? Post video evidence of me playing all of them? I've been playing racing sims on the PC since I was 6 years old dude. I've played a ton of them.

I'm not trolling I was pointing out how things he was saying were flat out wrong. A game being a sim really isn't an opinion. It either is, or it isn't.

You ever raced any sort of car for real, and have you ever played a PC racing sim? You come across as a kid thats never been behind the wheel of a real car before.

Neither one of the games are true sims, but GT feels better for sure.

i've yet to play forza 3 for myself. and I havent played the latest versions of gt5. The guys over at sim racing tonight were impressed when they got to try the rig they had set up wit the 911 turbo S wheel. I tried an early version of gt5p and was pretty dissapointed. Hopefully both games are great. and not too arcadey.

all i can say is that GT4 sucked ass when driving, it feels detached. Forza 2 fixed that for me. GT: prologue felt so much better, the cars actually feel like a real car. If GT:P was a huge leap from GT4, I am guessing Forza 3 will also be a huge leap from forza 2.

The only thing I hate about the GT series is that there is no penalties (aside from GT4 time delay thing) from going off road or making contact. I dont know if they implemented something of that sort in the final GT5 but I hope so because it will make you drive better.

What do you mean real sim. On the console the only racing sims are the GT series and Forza series and maybe along with Shift. Forza and GT are only competing with each other, if you are talking about competing against the pc sims, Forza isnt competing in a market where its not available. If Forza was on the pc then yes I agree with you there.

Point is the consoles don't have any real sims, and I'd have to say they are competing with the PC sims in a way. If there was a console sim that was better than a PC sim, you bet I would buy it, as would other people.

As for penalties...a proper damage model, both aero and mechanical, will stop contact from happening. If you risk knocking the toe out/in by door slamming someone, or messing your front end up to the point the car has no downforce, chances are you'll want to race cleaner.

Both games are different.

Both games are sims = true (at least when they were released)

Of course the game will feel funky if you're used to playing the other! Its like switching cars, no car drives exactly the same as the other.

Am I stoked both both upcoming versions? FACT
