Very disappointing. I thought the PC price hike was to include the cost of future DLCs, and if you kill stuff like competitive play, dedicated servers, and mods, what is there to grow the MW2 community?

But w/e, looks like another boycott in the making, which will shatter because there is no solidarity amongst gamers.

Not that it does any good. They've already finalized the game with their fancy and "improved" multiplayer system. Here's hoping it's half as good as they think it is (still a killer to communities and mods though).

So, basically, buy this on retail and it will tie to a Steam account. You can't choose the servers you want to play in. Meaning you can't go for a quiet 7vs7 if you weren't up to a massive 20+vs20+ brawl?

They've "revolutionised" competitive play. Meaning they've totally screwed up what it was and it's now what they say it is?

Let me put this in big, bold letters I WILL NOT PAY FOR 'EXTRA' CONTENT ON A PC DLC can go and suck right off.

Phew, the price hike was making me pissed off over this title. Now I don't have to worry one bit. There is no way in hell I'll be buying this game.

why would they do that to their original market? that is a huge slap in the face, i'm not buying this game, and i love the call of duty series. looks like i'll have to re-buy the first modern warfare but that's it.

lack of dedicated servers? mildly annoyed, but whatever.
lack of moddability? okay, starting to get peeved.
PC DLC? okay more than peeved. I abhor DLC
DLC is not free? [insert obscenity(ies) of choice here]

doncha love how companies are all getting on the micro-transaction bandwagon?
lemme pay for a game and play it, don't nickel and dime me to death just so i can play with the rest of the group. save all your "addendums" for a major expansion pack, i'm sure as hell not "only paying a few bucks here and there" ad infinitum.

that's pretty much killed off any interest i had in playing this
