Don't knock DJ hero until you try it. And Vulcan I'm surprised at you for making a biased statement like that. It seems like you haven't even checked the game out because there is rock, techno, rap, hip-hop and more on there(this is based on your comment). .
Quote:
I love the guitar and drum games, but fake scratching to a bunch of crappy hip-hop? Do not want.
Did you also know you can use your beloved guitar in the game with some of the songs too? Your not restricted to the turn tables.

Also the mix list is pretty freakin awesome. Matter of fact from the few that I've heard the Panjoo VS the Killers is one of my favorite songs on there now. Incase some of you don't know panjoo is the song that rock star used in the Ballad of Gay Tony trailer. Who ever Activision got to mix these songs did a pretty good job for the most part. Could it have been better? Sure but it's pretty sick now the way it is.

Also Vulcan this isn't crappy hiphop like you claim it to be.

Matter of fact here's one with queen and daft punk

Here's one with David Bowie and Marvin Gaye

Beck
Tears for fears
Queen
David bowe
Foo Fighters
The Jackson 5
Marvin Gaye
Daft Punk
Gorillaz
The Aranbee Pop Symphony Orchestra
Weezer
Motor Head
Bobby Blue bland
and more

All of which are in the game and are not hip hop at all. I'm surprised you passed judgment like that with what seems to be no prior knowledge of the game(again based off of that comment).

Exactly, which is why I've decided to not bash/troll this game, because I can see how it will appeal to certain areas.

I'll just keep "rocking out" while they... scratch it?

Hmmm...I wonder if Linkin Park is in the game? That would be kinda cool.

its best to hear the whole song instead of a 30 second clip. U can't judge remixes that way sadly. That and they don't have full songs for a lot of the stuff on the net yet since this is all custom mixes. I would buy the sound track if they release one.

I didnt know justice and daft punk were crappy hip hop instead of electronica.

Heh, true. Arguably neither is Guitar Hero, but it's a closer fit anyway. Especially with all that classic rock (that I personally don't care much for.)

Heck, I forgot about that one, and I even have it. That makes five Activision rhythym games in 2009!

Jeez you guys, it was an off-the-cuff slam. DOes every one of my posts have to be verbose to the point of putting you to sleep to make it "seem like me"?

Of course I know that every song on there is not hip-hop. But rap, hip-hop, electronica, and remixes of songs I might otherwise like all SUCK. There, I said it...boom, oh snap, yeeeeah boy.

Nah, seriously guys, it's just not my thing. Nor is it "most people's" thing, I would wager. Is there a market for this? Sure, absolutely. But the point of the article, which I was glibly agreeing with, is that it is nowhere near as large as the "band" games because, frankly, little kids aren't sitting around dreaming of spinning records in front of large audiences...they are dreaming of singing or playing guitar.

Vulcan's prediction: Band Hero will beat the snot out of DJ Hero because, even though the track list is sooooooo lame, it appeals to a much larger audience than DJ mixes.
