Guitar is one of, if not the, easiest instrument you can learn the basics to. It is, of course, incredibly hard to be good at just like any other instrument. Keep practicing though and you'll get there!

I picked it up and started with a solo from my fav song. Slowed it down in Audacity, and played away!

Exactly. Although I think Bass is much easier play than Guitar.

Guitar is more fun in my opinion though.

The best way to learn technical songs is get some tabs, and play along with an MIDI or the real song.

I'm really interested in trying(not necessarily buying) this, but I doubt it could be as good as I'd want it to be.

Armin van Buuren’s radioshow ‘A State of Trance’ has been going strong for 8 years already. With an estimated amount of 30 million listeners, divided over 26 countries and over 40 radio-stations plus globally through satellite and internet radio-stations, ‘A State of Trance’ is one of the most popular and beloved weekly radio shows around.
At 30 million listeners, that makes A State of Trance one of the most listened to radio stations in the world.

And whilst 30 million trance fans aren't going to rush out and buy dj hero, the point is that a lot more people are into that sort of music than you realise.

I've hated them all, so far. The less '* Hero''s going around the better.

Ummm....proof? There are many instruments out there that are easier to learn than the guitar such as the piano. Just the basics of alt picking a few notes will take most new players a while to get down while on the piano and some other instruments you can start playing melody's right off the bat.

You think that number competes with the legions of teeny boppers listening to the Mylie Cyrus's, the Taylor Swifts, and the other bubble gum drivel out there? You need to think again if so!

Again, like I said...there is an audience for this. But I stand by my prediction that Band Hero will beat DJ Hero in sales. If I'm wrong, I will stand on the proverbial OCN soap box and loudly proclaim I was wrong...I'm not so proud as to try and weasel out of this if I'm truly wrong. But I really don't expect to have to do that!

I never said it was defintely the easiest, though I'd wager money that any respected musician would have it in their top 5.

After rereading my post, I can see how it may have seemed like I did not agree with your prediction. For the record, I do agree with your prediction, but my post was to show that a lot more people listen to that kind of music than I think you realise. Also that radio station I sourced is just for trance. With hip-hop, electronic, rap, rock and other genres included in the track list for DJ Hero I think it might end up doing fairly nicely.

I know for sure if any of my friends buy it i'll be around theres in a gunshot wanting to try it out, but if all the songs are like that Killers Vs Eric Prydz one (which by the way, started off pretty well) then I'm not sure I could see myself picking one of these up. Learning to DJ and mix properly is way cooler anyway.
