Wasn't N-Gage that old handheld thing that wasn't very popular in the first place? I could be wrong, but I don't ever remember anyone in my place being like "Dude I want an N-Gage". Rightfully well that they're stopping it.

Me too. I'm surprised they didn't close this down sooner.

I wonder why they didn't just send the 37 active users with a ngage 10$ in compensation and just cancel the service years ago.
This thing was a complete joke

Shame really. They are the only phone games that actually compete at the iPhones level. The problem is the games cost an arm and a leg

You must not confuse the device (2003) and the service (2005) with each other.
The device had it's issues both as a phone as well as a gaming platform (also from a game developers point of view ). The service on the other hand (at least the idea) was quite a nice one. You could even say it was a bit ahead of it's time. Sort of a predecessor for iTunes or XBLA but it had it's issues as well. |
