So, you claim that IW magically made P2P offer equal pings to dedicated servers? I think 100ms will be the lowest, if not impossible to get on P2P in MW2. I bet the P2P isn't even that good, probably half-assed it to get it out faster on PC. Oh and Fraps gives a much more serious performance hit then recording demos in game, not to mention its easier to tamper with and make a fraps video look different. There is a reason that EVERY competitive league uses demos from in game demo recording.

Also, I think most of this stuff they are doing is done with an alternative motive. It may have already been said before, but I don't think they're trying to improve our multiplayer experience. They're just saying that so Activision doesn't yell at them. IW has already said the only reason they're developing for the PC is because Activision is making them, and they'd rather develop for consoles. I think that's what all this is about - they dumb down the PC version so nobody buys it, then they turn to Activision and say, "See? It's not worth it on the PC. We should drop the PC support altogether."

Reading the post, I really do find it funny how people are still on about P2P connections, you know its been on Console since COD4, and I've played COD4 on console and PC, and to be honest, you really don't feel that much lag. Maybe sometimes, but sometimes you find a crappy server in COD4 on PC. Just leave and find another. I really wish people will drop the P2P convo, and go play a console COD4. XBL to be honest, and then compare. It's worked for the #1 XBL Game Halo 3 and COD4, so theres something right going on eh?

You disproved your own point. W/ p2p and matchmaking only you wont' be able to pick and choose what servers you want to play, or if you don't like the admin, players, ping, etc. Sure you can leave that match and try to find a new one, but it may well be worse.

Also, on ping... While I do know some console-ers are twitch shooters, even w/ the thumb sticks, it's still less speedy as a mouse and KB, 50ms and 100ms ping is the difference between that knife kill, that nade throw, or even that 7.62NATO round actually registering leaving the barrel of your sniper rifle. Go look up some Halo 3 hit registration vids on youtube, it's noticeable even there.

Give it a chance is all I am saying. Yes IW sucks, but P2P really really can't be that bad, or the games would flop on XBOX 360 / PS3 that have P2P which is pretty much every MP game on consoles, minus a certain few.
