i see their point, BUT, why do D2D and others carry E:TW, DoW II, Fear 2, and other steam-tied games?

and it seems a bit strange that they would expect people to buy the game, and have to DL steam to play it when including it on the disc would be useful for the user who bought the game...

this. I don't quite understand. While clearly a competitor shouldn't (at least logically) sell their competitors merchandise..... then why do they do it for things like FEAR 2 but not this?
