Bungie isn't too happy about this...
This has more pictures then the other post so don't say this is a repost. Last edited by ATI Radeon : 2 Weeks Ago at 06:23 PM |

Nobody says this is not news? Because I've been told off for posting YouTube gameplay videos.

Correction, this has less pictures than the other thread, so it most definitely is a repost.

Looks like another reskin of Halo 3 like ODST was. They don't have much choice on upgrading the graphics on a static hardware system... which is what most console gamers don't understand. So Bungie can just keep reskining the old engine and print money
I'm sure they're very happy about it, its free advertising and hype. This is exactly what IW did with MW2, they intentionally released little bits of information over time to online community then got "mad" about it. How many Modern Warfare 2 commercials have you seen? How many threads on OCN have you seen about MW2?

Halo: Reach
It will be about the fall of the planet Reach that earth had populated. The Covenant showed up and kicked the crap out of the defending forces. This will be popular to Halo fans as there are entire teams of Spartans on the planet. Now most of them will die but that's just how it happens. I will participate in there beta purely for the fun of it. I think Halo has been going downhill ever since 2. Sure 2 had multiplayer, but they took away limited health and added dual wielding... I doubt I would actually buy another "Halo" game unless they start putting them on PC again so I can use mods.

The only thing HD about that video is the Halo Reach background at the end... the pictures weren't high res ._.

Quality is a part of presentation, and just like coming to an interview looking like you've been homeless for a month will reduce your chances of being accepted - so does this. People subconsciously associate bad presentation like this (out of focus, washed out, blurry pictures) with bad, and good presentation with good. This is why Apple ads always look awesome. They're clean. Vector renders, with single-color backgrounds, just at the right sharpness, with readable fonts with colors that mix well with the other colors. They're simple ads, but they're pretty ads. Believe it or not, if you showed someone an ad shot at 60 FPS and one shot at 24 FPS (both real life), they would always prefer the product in the 24 FPS ad because motion in a 60 FPS video reminds people of bad quality home video, where everyone sound crappy because they're far away from the mic. I did a small-scale experiment about this with friends, but I'm sure if you did a large-scale one (at least as long as consumer cameras remain different), you'd see the same trend. Just like how most men prefer a certain waist to hip ratio when looking at women, ratios matter here too. It's important where certain things are in relation to others, the colors, etc.
