Default [Destructoid] Left 4 Dead campaigns in L4D2

Quote:
In this episode of "Adventures in Bat***** Insane PC Gamer Trickery," we get to see how a conversion of Left 4 Dead to the Left 4 Dead 2 standard is done. Someone was crazy enough to bring the first game's campaigns into the sequel, and it's paid off. Mostly.

You see, there is known breakage. The final moments during the finales tend to result in a crash, for instance. But it's progress, for sure. Obviously the next step would be to get the original survivors into the South in a playable state.

If you aren't scared away by warning messages, and you own both games legit, then proceed to the instructions on how to accomplish this black magic over at Left 4 Dead Mods.

A step closer to killing L4D1. Not that it had much hope left, L4D2 is too superior.

Sweet!

Can't wait til it all works nicely. Picking any one of the eight survivors will be very nice.

Jesus, really? Could Valve give a bigger middle finger to those who actually want to try and get what they paid for (L4D1 getting supported like TF2)?! Not only do they lack the content they kept throwing at us (and not fixing all the issues), but now L4D2 gets everything L4D1 had...

...and people ***** about losing dedicated servers, but this is acceptable? ugh....

Valve isn't doing this, it's a third party modder. Relax.

EA only acts as Valve's retail publisher... they have nothing else to do with Valve...
