Default Devil May Cry 4

Honestly, it's the first game to make me go wow in so long. I don't know what it is but the visuals look stunning to me. The action in very fast paced and most importantly, you really feel powerful. I feel like a demon hunter with super agility when I play it and yet it's not too easy. Very good balance.

Also, the story isn't bad either.

Thoughts?

Everything reviewers said about the game was overall pretty well, one of the major flaws people had with it was all the backtracking you have to do, they say you basically re-visit everything for a second time? Is that true?

I played it on my PS3 with a 20" CRT TV so i didnt really get the full effect. Is it worth pickin up on PC for the HD'ness & possibly new graphic options?

I finished the game last week. Brilliant. It just gives you such a sense of power and its so entertaining. There isnt one point in the game where you dont feel like a pure badass! And capcom actually managed to pull off a half decent storyline too which is a bonus. Not to mention the art direction. Such a stylish and good looking game. The graphics are great as always from capcom.

Just wait until you get to play dante and you upgrade nero's abilities and powers when he gets the yamato etc. If you have any skill with the combos and technique etc I cant think of any combat game that is so rewarding

By the way, I know that dante is the main character from all the past games, and he's portrayed in DMC4 as the superior fighter. Nero kicks his ass IMO. I mean.. that devil bringer is such a great invention by the designers. You really feel lost without it when you play dante. Playing nero I spend most of my time in the air slamming enemies about with that arm Going to play it over again now!

The devil arm is good for grabbing and doing some extra things in certain terrains, but overall Dante is still much more powerful. I was really happy when I started playing as him again Not only are his attacks and combos stronger, but he gets better weapons unlike Nero, who's sword is cool and all, but he's stuck with it the whole time and as you get further in the levels, it just seems to lose it's power imo.

I have followed the DMC series since it's initial release in October of 2001, through the horrendous disappointment that was DMC 2 in 2003, and the controller-shattering goodness that was DMC 3 in 2005. i hope the Devil May Cry 4 is better than the precessors.

dmc4 was a very enjoyable game to play on the ps3 + 42" vizio lcd, and everything the OP says about the characters make you do feel powerful in the game. I've only beat the game once on normal but I think I may play it again on demon hunter mode.
