Default UPDATED:USPS Sent me this (warning, gruesome)

So I find this package in my mailbox this morning....

Turns out that this was a package I was shipping to a member here. It was a stack of PS3 games. As they were all in original cases, and sealed in a USPS cushion mailer, and mailed priority with delivery confirmation, I figured there would be no need for insurance, as it would be pretty hard to lose/break these games (unless you have a ravenous mail sorter with an appetite for PS3 games apparently) So what do you think? Is the USPS going to pay for what they have done? It is kinda their fault the thing was EATEN. Isn't there a default insurance for this sort of thing? And what about the fellow here at OCN who I was shipping these to?

What the hell. It looks like they let a Domo-kun loose on your PS3 games.

If you didn't have insurance, I think you're out of luck and will have to refund the guy you were shipping to.

Looks like they left it in the rain, and a dog swallowed it and crapped it out. Sucks man . Always get insurance, even if you think you do not need it.

That is beyond ridiculous. I always figured insurance was for fragile items or small items which could get lost. I wouldn't ever think to insure ps3 games because stuff like that isn't suppossed to happen. I'd raise some major hell with USPS if they didnt pay me for what I was out. Also, if you wanted, I'm only 40mins away from Omaha, if you want me to drive up and pick a fight with a mail sorter let me know.

Not to be insensitive or anything
but this is why i always ship via UPS, as i hear that USPS doesnt take very good care of packages.

And insurance is your friend
