Well you have to tell us a few things. Your budget for one. I think this whole xbox360 vs PS3 thing boils down to Halo 3 VS GTA4. Which ever you prefer. As for me? I prefer my console, and if I was you I would just upgrade my computer so I could make it look 10 times better than PS3 or 360

I've had better luck with my PS3. My XBOX 360 has failed 3 times now. Ring of death.

Depends on games, and what your friends have/ if you want to play online with them. I would get a PS3, free online gaming ftw. Hate paying for Xbox Live.

There is no "better" console its just up to which one suits your needs more. Also go with whichever one has the exclusives you like or that more of your friends have.

On a side note, if a piece of electronics dies 3 times in a row, when for most people it runs fine, its usually fault of the owner. Stuff like running it in a carpet, on a hot sunny day (when you should be outside). Etc...

It's really all your preference...And what you need:
PS3--free online, MGS4, Resistance 2, MAG, can run linux
360--Halo 3, GOW 2, overall more online users
Both--good online play, Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, End War, both are good gaming systems
Depends on what more of your friends have, what games you want, and what controller you like better, for me, the choice would be to go with the PS3.
