I was digging around online and read a little bit about the Fable series and more importantly the upcoming Fable 2 game...

I was just wondering how this game compares to, for example, any of the Zelda games?

My favorite series of games is Zelda and Prince of Persia. Is fable like this??

I am not interested in the games where you have to build your character with magic and experience points and all that stuff........like I said, I like the way Zelda plays.

Well fable is basically a run around and kill things game.. But it has a whole experience and character building side to it. You get green orbs from your kills and you go upgrade your characters strength, dexterity etc. but it is a quite deep game with some fun side missions and an ok story.. The selling point was that you could choose wither your character was good or evil and that his look would reflect it (Which it did). It was fun but if your looking for something like zelda your not gonna find it here...

Since you can get the game pretty cheap now-a-days (I think I saw it at Gamestop the other day for $10) You should give it a try. Who knows, you might end up liking it.

Fable: The Lost Chapters, was an excellent game. One of the few games that I played through multiple times.

The evironments are beautifully rendered, and the combat system is easily learned and executed.

I would recommend waiting for Fable 2, the Prince of Persia series can't compare.

Fable was a pretty good game for the Xbox, but its a little dated now.


As for Zelda like games the 360 doesn't have much, but I would say that Kameo: Elements of Power is about as close as you're going to get to the same style of action/puzzle solving.

Yeah fable was pretty awesome, i played it for hours upon hours and watched people play it for hours, it was pretty linear in some respects... not as open as say, an MMO, but it was awesome, give it a shot for 10 bucks, you wont be disapointed just be sure to get the lost chapters edition for the extra content... I personally cant wait for fable 2. I reserved it for 10 bucks and got some pub games to build up some gold

Fable is an amazing game and I can not wait for Fable 2. I am ordering the collectors edition and since its a AAA title I will have it at the shop the day before and as soon as the UPS guy leaves, shops going to be closed, and no one will see me for at least 3 days lol
