Default Sega GameGear screen replacement

The screen is all messed up on this Sega GameGear I got to give to teh lady for her birthday (she loved the gamegear) and I want to know if there is a way I can replace the screen.

Oh, and on another note, while I am at it, can I hack it so I can get some Genesis roms going in it or is that just impossible?

You can get a screen lens on ebay if that what your talking about. But as far as the roms go I'm pretty sure your SOL. You could always get a PSP, I'm sure they have a sega emulator out for it by now.

Not the lens, but the actual screen itself. Looks like to me the screen has just died out of old age 'cuz it is only showing like greens and yellows.

And no on the psp. G/f kinda likes the whole 'retro-nostalgia' thing.
