Default Rock Band II

Which system do you all think I should get this for??

360 or PS3? My first instinct would be the 360 since I own a lot more games and stuff for it in the first place, but the PS3 is running through HDMI and to be quite honest, I consider it a bit more reliable...

/discuss.

Well, things just got a little more complicated. I just found out that the bundles for Rock Band 2 don't come out until next month, so I need some more advice:

Wait till next month and buy the rock band 2 bundle and ninja all the rock band songs elsewhere. Or, should I just go get it now and just buy rock band II on the morrow?

Not calling you a liar, I've just never heard anything about the PS3 sound quality being better than the Xbox360.

Is it simply uncompressed music for Rock Band II or actually a PS3 > Xbox360 thing?

False. Complete fanboy comment. They are both dolby digital with the same bitrates. Both 360 and PS3 have HDMI. Its the exact same thing.

Also the PS3 version isnt out until next month.. the 360 version is out in 4 hours.

He mite be one of those people that had a xbox360 and it sounded worst than his new ps3

However it is false. PS3 / xbox360 do have same bit rate since they both use the same inputs.

My 360 is component only. Its one of the old ones. I think that's why he said that. My PS3 is hooked up with HDMI.

I'm no fan of HDMI, I wouldn't let that be the deciding factor in any way.

Am I to assume you do not have Rock Band 1 or any Guitar Hero games? Because if you do, the clear choice is whatever platform you already have those games on. Reuse the instruments, obviously.

If you don't have any of the previous games, I would then ask which console your friends own, if they also intend to buy Rock Band 2. So you can make bands with them, obviously.

If none of the above applies, then I guess it probably doesn't matter. Or maybe you'll want to try forming some bands with OCN members. I'll probably be getting it for my X360 this weekend, but I'm sure you'll find just as many PS3 owners on OCN buying it too.
