Default Which console to get to go with my PC?

I'd like to pick up a console to go along with the PC listed in my Sig.

Which console would be the best fit as far as complimenting the PC for gaming?

I like the Online capabilities of the 360, but there seems to be alot more overlap as far as games avialble on the PC as well.

The PS3 seems to have less overlap with the PC as far as exculsives go, Bluray is nice but not too nessesary as my pc is also serving as a HTPC. Not really sure about its online play eithier.

my vote goes to xbox360, ive had both 360 and ps3 and really the 360 has a lot betters out for it in my opinion, dont get me wrong though ps3 will have those great hits that come out here and there but 360 has more exclusive content than any other system. and i like online better too.

You can use your xbox as a media center extender if you have the Media Center edition of XP or vista home premium and above, or you can use windows media player to do the same if just normal xp. you do get tons of extra content compared to the PS3 (who are not getting the expansion pack for GTA4, which will be downloadable via xbox live), so 360 FTW

Get a PS3 because when FF7: Advent Children comes out it will come with a PS3 demo of FF13.

ps3 to fold and help cure cancer!!! the online community is alright reason is its not top notch like the xbox360 is because the ps3 does not include a headset in order to talk to your team(have to buy it seperately), I like both, I watch alot of bluray movies on my ps3 with a 42" vizio lcd which is why the ps3 has more use for me.

Xbox360 is still great though as long as you don't mind getting RRoD every now and then(I went through 3 Xbox360 with RRoD thankfully I could return to Costco instead of dealing with MS) and have to send it to MS to get fixed or exchanged. Remember Xbox360 has a better online community obviously with old great hits like Double Dragon and Streets of Rage, and everyone and their mama has a headset on there so gaming online will be much better for you.

So my vote in terms of your needs goes to the Xbox360~

Im sold on the PS3 BTW, just seems the most "diffrent" from a PC comared to a PS3.

That and I saw pictures of Little Big Planet, Ressitance 2, Wipeout HD, Kill Zone 2, and Drake's fortune.

Personally, I think if it was just a "which console to get" thread I wouldn't be able to choose, however, since it's going with your PC I have to say PS3. Mostly because, as you mentioned, I see more overlap between awesome 360 games and PC games than I do with the great PS3 games. For example, you can play Gears of War on your PC.

It seems like it will stay that way, for a while at least. There will still be some nice 360 exclusives, but there will be more overlap than with the ps3. Plus for me I play more FPS games online, and I would really prefer a mouse and keyboard for that anyways, no matter how good the 360's online is I will still enjoy it on the PC for that reason and multitasking.

The online isn't that bad on the PS3, it's just not as good as the xbox's. It's getting a lot better but is still a ways away. Many of the games I've played have incuded dedicated servers, though (like I've seen more P2P servers on the XBOX 360 than on the PS3) which is generally a really good thing.

Plus I'm a huge LittleBigPlanet fanboy. It's something I'm willing to admit; that game feels like it will be my favorite game that I've ever played

In the end what you should do is open a list of current games on each and open a list of games coming in the next 2 years or so for each and see which fits your needs most. Which games do you really want to play on a console.
