Ok, here is the deal. I might be interested in getting either a PS3 Slim or PSP Go (I will be making the final decision when the PSP Go is released -- early October).
I have seriously lost interest in online gaming, and will be playing more single player titles. My brother currently does own a backwards compatable (software version) PS3 phat, which we barely get any use out of (mostly because he does not work, therefore he cannot buy any games, and overall a general lack of interest in me buying him games 24/7 when he pretty much just plays on my computer). I will be keeping my rig for gaming as well, so take this into account. I have previously owned multiple PSP's on and off, and have played many games, but am taking the PSP Go into account because of the portability and possiblity of future games for it (such as Kingdom Hearts -- a must play for me). Over the past year or so, I have gone from a hardcore online gamer, to a casual gamer that plays on the weekends (although I still enjoy games like Call of Duty, and GTA 4, etc). Anyways, I am 19, going into university, and am not sure what I should get. I want an idea of what I should get now, so by the time the PSP Go comes out (and there are reviews on it), I can go to the store and pick up the system of my choosing.

Honestly, you have your sig rig for gaming so a PSP Go would be convienient for you if you are on the go (hence the name "PSP Go" lol). You even already have a backwards compatible PS3 so I don't see the point in getting one if you seldom play it anyways. Although I'd wait a bit until the price and more games come out.

EDIT: I might have misread his post. If you will still have access to your brothers PS3, why even consider buying a new one?

Hey, I will have access to my brother's PS3 because I am still going to live at home, but I am taking public transit to school.
This is looking to go more towards PSP Go however, although I am not sure what games are worth getting a PSP for... I like action/FPS/third-person... I hate RPG (too boring, Kingdom Hearts is an exception because of the third-person action aspect, and the awesome Disney characters and story). EDIT: Getting a second PS3 is pretty much for the "eh..." factor. So I can have my own, because right now, my brother has it in his room, and I would love the idea of having a second PS3 in my room hooked up to one of my computer monitors. And also to maybe play some multiplayer games together which do not have split screen (maybe a little Call of Duty 6 online play when it comes out -- although not too much).

Psp GO= bad choose its got lower battery life and you cant replace the battery if it dies I usually have two charged battery's on hand and swap them when one dies but psp go is locked up. get a real psp. or get a hacked one on ebay with a bunch of free games
