Cool Component Switch for PS2/Wii

I need a converter/switch box that would allow me to hook up my PS2 and/or Wii to my 52 Inch Toshiba 1080P TV.

It would be best to output to HDMI, though, since I have a comcast Cable Box that outputs to the only Component Input that is available.

If there's a universal cable that works somewhere out there, that would be awesome. Either way I would need some sort of component cable.

The reason I say this is because I don't want to have to keep moving the TV...the wood stand it's in right now is easily scratched, and it's a hassle to keep moving the TV every time I want to hook up either of the consoles, so a switch would be nice.

...and yes, I know the Wii will only output to 480P. It doesn't matter to me, really, though.

Just needs to be compatible with Wii/PS2, but more compatability is better for future use.

Doesn't give me any results. In fact, it looks just like a link to the search.....which states 0 Results could be found, then gives me the top products of the day or whatever.

Anybody else have some suggestions? <_<

well thats odd as it works for me even after reboot. well hrm.

go to the egg, and search for "hdmi switch"

dont kno if you simply want three inputs or more, or how much your willing to spend. this hardware is pretty much straight forward.

Just need a port to be accessible without moving the TV.

It either needs to be a component switch able to work well with a Comcast Cable Box (which is using the only component input), or be able to convert component inputs to an HDMI output. Either way would work just fine.

Anyway, the Egg doesn't have much. Amazon seems much more reliable for such things.

I'll look for a bit, but other suggestions of actual products would be appreciated.

ok ya reread thread. converting rca to hdmi will not make a difference, even if you are using the 5/6 cable HD RCA cables. i have seen the hd 6RCA switches very cheap at walmart. in fact my buddy has one for his wii, 360, satellite, and sometimes my htpc. just a simple button in front to choose which source.

i looked and could not find any rca to hdmi converters, but i imagine if it did exsist it would be expensive.

hope this helps!

converting from analog to digital would require a media system (I'm forgetting what exactly they are called - the boxes like Onkyo that are in home media setups. Its on the tip of my tongue but I can't quite get it. )

EDIT:
A Home Theater Receiver!

remembered as soon as I left the thread

I found one that does (Oh, and I'd be buying a COMPONENT cable that hooks directly to the consoles, so no converting necessary....that way I'd get Progressive instead of Interlaced picture and less lag with Wii to convert to the LCD, if that makes sense).

Anyway, I'm good on the stuff. Thanks for the input though.

I'll post what I'm getting later.
