Default PSP, PSP Go!, or DS Lite?

Alrite, so I am planning to get a handheld system for gaming.

Either the PSP (either 2000 or 3000, doesn't matter, as I will be buying games), or the DS Lite (cheaper than the DSi -- I don't need it to do anything except for gaming).

Anyways, I will be buying games (I know of the alternatives, as this will not be my first PSP/DS).

I am more into first person shooters, third person action/or shooter, and racing games. Please give me some advice for which to get, as I transport ~1.25 hours in each direction to school (the battery only needs to last me 3-4 hours).

Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Also, please include some games which you guys suggest for each, and why you selected the handheld.

I've only played the PSP once and didn't care for it much. I play my DS daily at work, thing is so much fun. Brain Age, Mario Kart, and Super Mario are my favorites.

According to the type of games you like PSP is pretty much your only choice. Burnout Dominator, Need for Speed, Initial D, and soon Gran Turismo for racing. Socom, MGS, KZ Liberation for your shooters. As far as know the only FPS on DS is Metroid Prime hunters. However the DS has Castlevania probably my favorite, non fighting, game series. The only racing games worth note on DS are Diddy Kong Racing and Mario Cart.
