Default Xbox 360 vs. PS3 - Pure gaming experience

Hmm, lately i just been wondering which system do you guys like best based on the gaming experience, not including cost (i.e. $50 xbox live, $100 price differences) reliability as a factor, instead focusing on online play, game quality, home theater use and content.

I own both systems myself and enjoy them both equally, im not trying to put any bias's here, just woke up this morning wondering, which you like best when you take out the money and reliability factors, instead looking at the fun parts. =]

Thoughts?

I own neither console, but...

I have the impression that the 360 has a larger game library w/ more "good" games. I personally prefer the feel of the 360 controller to that of the dualshock3. Reliability isn't much of an issue w/ new units, on either side. I personally have friends w/ 360s, not PS3s, so that's a factor in anyone's decision as well.

The 360 has a more powerful GPU w/ guaranteed 2x AA for jaggy reduction. Whereas the PS3 has more powerful CPU/GPCPU. Then again, less developers are willing to properly code for it.

I'd take the 360 over the PS3 or PS3 slim. That's just my take.

I own all 3 systems and too me the Wii was really a novelty, I really just stopped caring about it after about 6 months, and it became unfun. But overall I think the Xbox 360 offers the best gaming experience. The Xbox Live service isn't even comparable to the Wii or the PlayStation Network, and its worth the 50$ a year. I love my Xbox 360, and I really don't think I'm a fanboy of any sorts when it comes to consoles.

But still, the PC offers the BEST gaming experience.

hah yeah.. i read about how most games are made for the 360 and then converted for the ps3 =\ but the ps3 has the potential but just needs a developer to use the power =[

Just got a 360 last friday and it's literally a cheap console. Hardware wise the 360 is horrible compared to the PS3, such as cheap headset(eh), a loud DVD drive, and every other option is a $50-100 extra! The 360 has fun games and the achievements actually do something since they show up next to your name. I personally hate Live, have to pay for people to host the games....that makes sense. Laggy host/player means everyone lags, which is not fun. The PS3 I have for it's exclusives and Blu-ray and I love the controllers, the 360 makes my hands cramp up after 30min to an hour.

PS3 - quiet, great controller(opinion tho) great movie player, and cheaper overall.
-GT5, Killzone 2, MGS4, MAG,
360 - games and achievements
-Halo, Forza

This is for how I use them so your experience may differ.

On a console basis I use my PS3 more than my 360. I prefer the exclusives on the PS3 to the ones on the 360 for the most part. Also there's the Bluray factor too, I watch a lot of movies.

I like them both a lot, but I get more use out of my PS3 so I'll go with that. Now if this poll had included PC I'd be pretty torn. However, with that in mind I wouldn't want to give up any of them!

im all for good new games, and as it stands, every decent game comes out on both consoles. ps3 has more exclusives as of late, but the 360 has several worthy exclusives under its belt, but then again the 360's library is widely regarded as sharing with the PC. So I say, both are great. anybody who chooses one over the other is biased for no real reason. if you had to choose one? well thats another story. But you gave the option to choose both. so i do.

=] i agree their both really great counsels and to be honest their very similar, pretty much differ in just a few games and have some what similar UI, well thats at least my 2 cents. :P
