Default IGN Presents the History of Dreamcast

Thought this was a god read.

Quote:
Where were you on September 9, 1999? For as much as the NES changed the face of the industry, few can say they lined up on day one to get theirs. Even the original PlayStation's launch was lukewarm by today's standards. But 9/9/99 is a date that will live on, not just because of its mnemonic repetition, but because it started the trend of carefully orchestrated hype and anticipation culminating in an epic launch the likes of which the industry had never seen before.

Corky Dorkelson Presents: The History of Dreamcast

1999: Sega releases the Dreamcast to dozens of excited enthusiasts.

2001: Microsoft and Sony win.

I loved the dreamcast, and would still play it if it hadn't gotten stolen. Quite a few great games for it, and I LOVED the controller.

I still love their idea on the the VMU. Being able to pick football plays on your own controller rocked. I can't believe we aren't using this technology today.
