[IGN]Order of War Review
Quote:
September 25, 2009 - In case you hadn't heard, a tiny skirmish broke out just over seven decades ago, and happened to include some of the world's foremost authorities in war machinery. The conflict in question is, of course, the Second World War, an event surpassed in literature and legend only by the American Civil War. When it comes to videogames, WW2 is probably the most visited era; first-person shooters and real-time strategies have seemingly exhausted the virtually endless well of Good vs. Evil material, yet occasionally diamonds appears in the rough, like Company of Heroes, the Medal of Honor series, or perhaps the most famous, the Call of Duty franchise.
Order of War, a real-time strategy epic developed by Wargaming.net and published by Square Enix (always a good sign), lets players assume control of the American forces from Operation Overlord and the invasion of Normandy, or the Germans at the onset of Operation Bagration, Russia's final thrust into the hinterland.
