If game developers where to lock game FPS it should be above 60FPS

I wouldn't limit fps, since some games use engine that has glitches if fps is certain at number.
Like Quake3, with fps 125, you can jump better and trickjump better. And anything is not at magic number like 45, 52, 75, 125 fps you cannot jump onto box. If I want to limit it, I just use command, /Com_maxfps (Number here).

Too much FPS = bad?
__________________Ive never heard such a thing.. Ive never had problems with having too many FPS, of course my GFX card sucks. But still, why would you put a cap on FPS? I do agree with whoever above said they should limit it to the refresh rate of the monitor..

You people are smoking crack, the human eye can't tell a difference past 30. Movies are shot at 24 fps. I'm tired of people claiming that 30 is too low.

30 fps? no! Battlefield games I like such as bf 2142 where its capped at around 100 fps, which I don't mind, you never notice slowdowns in it. 30 FPs is just to low, a game that uses that is ET:QW I believe(which can be unlocked).

You might say that but in fast moving action movies i can sometimes see the lag and also in games like CSS even @ 60fps i can feel the lag, i need at least 85fps.

How about we let the game settings and hardware power decide the FPS instead of trying to cap it in the software? Long gone are the days where the physics engine ran faster(As in everything happened faster, if cars were there they'd do 300+MPh, things like that) if you got more FPS.

Maybe your eyes are less sensitive than other people. I notice a difference when locking the frame rate in a game like Last Remnant. 60fps is smooth in all situations versus 30fps which is more choppy when running around in a circle.

HAHAHAHAHHA seriously? Open FRAPS, set the recording limit to 30FPS, and play a game that your rig can handle at 60FPS. record a short clip, which will be limited to 30FPS, and then stop recording. If you can't tell the difference, you need to go see an optometrist.
