I had the same thing in my high school... we had these weird lights that run on 240v DC (don't ask me why) and for muck up day we took out the transformers and ran them 240v AC. It drove everyone nuts xD

That's not the reason motion blur works in movies. The reason is that they are pre rendered and the blur is able to account for what will occur in the future. In games, they are rendered in realtime and so motion blur can not mask what happens in the future. The "motion blur" we see in modern games isn't motion blur at all, rather it is "motion ghosting", very similar to what happens on an LCD with a slow response time. It's implementation is likely to try and cover up the effect on LCDs.

30 fps. wow.
For some games, like Crysis, 30fps is very playable. But, in most games, I just go crazy.
There is that slight mouse lag that is like a mosquito buzzing around your head. And visually, some games look choppy at 30fps. Like FC2.
I would go insane if the fps was capped at 30fps.
I have to keep it above 60. Or I might just break something.

You know, the source engine has a console command to limit fps...

fps_max 300

its 300 by default. You can make it 30 if you choose, but your monitor wont display more than the refresh rate allows it anyway.

Well you can notice more than 60FPS on a 60Hz (refresh rate) monitor so I'd say there is a point in putting it above your refresh rate

No you can't, lol. The monitor is physically only refreshing 60 times per second, it is literally impossible to get any benefit from over 60 fps, as they aren't able to be shown.
