I have heard that games look the best at 28-32fps range. To many frames clutters the picture. I have also read that some game developers are making locks at 3xfps. If you don't see lag at that then why not? The game could have bench mode where you con see max and play mode where you can just relax and play at that fps. Think about it, your gpu wouldn't be on that high of a load so it would stay cooler, plus it saves power which is money in your pockets.
Any thoughts on this?

I notice anything slower than around 60-100 FPS, if games were capped at 30FPS I would go insane.

I would agree except that 30 doesn't quite look smooth to me. Bump it up to 45 and I would agree

I've notice that with motion blur, there isn't much of a problem with low fps, as long as it's steady. If it's changing a lot, you start to notice.
I still prefer higher, consistent FPS though. Mainly because motion blur isn't included in many games that I play.

Maybe 45 but if your gpu can get 90 in a game than 30 would be no sweat so it wouldn't go under that cause the extra power is on tap.

eww, no. 30FPS looks way too choppy to me.
If there will ever be a cap (I hope not!), It should be at 60-80FPS.

The only cap on FPS that should ever exist is the refresh rate of the monitor. In other words VSync, with triple buffering.

I would say EEEWWW! 30fps thats crap, then i open crysis and....
30fps is k, well i think if it remains at a steady fps and doesn't jump all over the place, like 30-70 and back then it would be fine.
