Default Cheap Parts, for Cheap Builds (775 board)
Hey, I am hoping for some help from my fellow OCN members here. I need to build a couple cheap systems.

I have found my first chip, now I need a board with onboard video that supports Core 2 Duo's and DDR2


Prefer a 775 board with geforce 7 series onboard graphics. Like maybe an extra ECS board from a FRY's combo?

Also needed but not too important at the moment, a black DVD-rw (IDE or SATA)

whats your budget....

I have the CPU and board from my Linux rig...ECS K8M800/2800 Athlon 754 (not a sempron 50ish)
mATX with on-board

Too bad you dont want socket A stuff for a net surfer I got a few boards with Tbird CPUs..

Dang, wish I knew earlier, I just let my 8800GTS with DFI Nforce4 skt 775 with 1GB ddr and Venice 3000+ go for $120. Would have rather you got it then who I sold it to locally. Of course he hasn't paid me yet though so it may still be up for grabs.

I've got a few skt 478 P4's and a Pent D if anybody has a mb to go with them, so if you find a mb I'll give them to you for shipping price.

I put together the cheapest internet surfing PC I could without sacrificing too much quality, I assumed by "a couple hundred" you meant 400, and you said some more money is coming in, so I assumed another 200-ish

So I built one for ~180, which should come to about 200 exactly after shipping

I'm sure with a few changes you should get it closer to the $150 mark, I'll provide you with the links if you like what you see
