Wow I remember this thread a long time ago.. rofl..
I still have the same loop and parts. I'm ordering a new block and tubing I'll have take apart that rbx block and take some pix. I'd be all for getting a new res if I can find a way to mount it in the same location as it is now since its my only location at this point. Also the case is aluminum and not sure the side panels can support a res screwed into it without showing signs of stress.

it shouldn't b more weight that the side panel can hold. i have that res, but i don't use it anymore since the black finish was wearing off and dissolving n the liquid. i take it urs isn't doing that?

Coming up to 2 years of use and I haven’t noticed much since last time I checked about 2 months back. When filled, it has some substantial weight to it and I think you underestimate how flimsy a 3d aurora case panel is. We are talking a few layered sheets of industrial grade tin foil. So I mounted it to the cases sub frame. Anyways I'm thinking about this for a replacement. I’d like the idea using one of the 4 ports as a filler since cracking off the side panel un-mounting my current res flipping it up right to fill takes effort. http://www.frozencpu.com/products/61...?tl=g30c97s166 I'd have to A) make a bracket for mounting in the same place using the sub frame Or B) drill holes in the side of the case and add washers and mount it to the side panel. Its too bad because I still love the design of my current res.

those plexi res' r nice looking, that's 4 sure.
__________________really, even if ur side panel is 26ga. sheet metal, it'll still have a significant amount of strength. with both of those clamp-holder-ma-bobs attached 2 the side panel, with 2 screws each, i think it'll hold up nicely. but as u stated, u might have problems opening and closing it :/

If there isn't any resonable answer, I guess I'll go with a Koolance Inline Reservoir, but a lack of an inner inlet tube to prevent bubbles worries me. |
