I thought I would write something up because the Thermaltake watercooling kits get really bad press.
First question is... Does it work? It works pretty well .These were my idle temps as read by coretemp on an average day with 1.46ish (jumps up to 1.55 and it's all over the place) volts and a clock of 2.6, pretty horrendous I've seen 63+ in coretemp on the stock cooler... not a good thing Temps after install... Load temps hover around 45-48 after a couple minutes but they would go up a bit if I left orthos running. Installation went well... except for me placing the pump in backwards making it a **** to position with the soundcard in there . I used the single 120mm radiator for the first install and it worked pretty well, the fan can definately push some air at high speed but is silent at low speed. I can't hear the pump over the chipset cooler and vf900 fan on full so it's pretty quiet too.I went: Pump-Rad-WBlock-Res first time around. I'm retarded, so since it was the weekend I decided to rip it all out and start again. I used the 240mm rad and left out the 120mm one. Flow is: Pump-WBlock-Rad-Res and it works a little better, I guess flow velocity matters with the maze wb design. I just want to make sure everyone understands that I have had NO LEAKS at all and I was only careful... not overly anal when installing the kit both times. The res is easy to fill in place, the connectors are quick and work well. The waterblock and mounting system are solid and the temps are pretty good for the price (I think) I have some more results from 2.4ghz and lower volts that I will post up as well just so there's a better comparison of Stock vs TTBW. I'm desperate for a vga waterblock but I forgot to change my ap's (started a new job recently) and just got stung for $90 of dishonour fees that'll teach me for being useless. As for overclocking... I can bench at 2.7 now where 2.62 was the most before. My PSU and mobo hold me back a bit but I'm not too worried. 3dmark05 11366 3dmark01se 31124

Of course it will be the pump... The TT fans are solid... Connections are great. My original pump went after 3 months... It was nice to know my PC overheated and rebooted god knows how many times durring the night.

I'm definately being cautious, I have a fan controller with auto shutdown and stuff so I'm not too worried. Looking at replacement pumps but I'm not the torrent whore I once was so it's not on overnight or when I'm at work anyway.

I don't know about that Core Temp Beta app.
It is reporting my x2 3800+ TDP at 72w while the stock TDP should be 89w while my OCed one should be 105w TDP. Also, I am running Core Temp beta and it says 40C... and all my other temp monitor says 31C.

whether it gets thermal profiles correct is a different story.

Does it matter whether or not the temp reading is accurate for this demonstration? I mean it shows a 19 deg drop in temps one way or the other, even if it is off by a degree or two, a drop in temps is a drop in temps, right???

i also have big watter se. and its ok but i found that the 120mm fan it comes with is absolute garbage.it does like no pushing of the air. i replaced it with 2 80mm aerocool fans that do 58cfm each. way better than the stock fan. that really made a difference. can't wait till summer so i can put my radiator near my ac. anyway. with a still change of fans that sucker is great. all i need now is a better pump that does more than 70l an hour.maybe running 2 in a chain?
