Hey guys, i just did a lab in my science class today, and we did an experiment to see which fluid took less heat to heat up between alcohol and water, and the alcohol heated up very fast whereas the water took a while to do anything... so it got me thinking, would it be possible (and worth it) to put rubbing alcohol or good old cap'n morgans (instead of water, not in addition) in your watercooling setup? anyone know the heat conductivities of the two? or if alcohol would be too corrosive?

you want the water to in your watercooling system to heat up fast, that means it is taking heat away from the cpu... your post says water heated up but the water heated more slowly... please edit that

Might wanna edit your post, you mixed up a water and a alcohol there. I wouldn't advise using alcohol ... might end up drinking your computer and losing all your cooling

You could try it...I also think alcohol isnt as thick as water so the pump can push it easier.

it might be worth giving it a shot but i would think the alcohol would be too corrosive (melts AS5), but if you can find tubes that can handle it you should try, dont blame me if it burns through the tubes and ruins your comp

i think it would be a great experiment, maybe just get some temporary tubes just to try it for a while, and if it works well, find a more permanent soloution
