This is the only external that I know of that looks any good...
....WaterKegIII I'd stay away from the other one it has 1/4" tubing...I'm not a big fan of low flow rigs...

The unit got bad reviews in MaximumPC. I doubt it is any good as well. The surface area is laughable considering how large it is. A simple 120.1 rad may cool better. A 120.2 rad will cool better.

that box has given me some inspiration to do something like that but instead of the fans, ill place my compressor and condenser in there.

Yeah you can buy the empty cases and do whatever with them...I've been thinking about getting a case and making an external rig....

You can get 3/4" or 1" aluminum channel at a lot of hardware stores just make a box out of that and put mesh panels in the sides and top...You might want a 3/4" ply-wood bottom in it with all that weight... ....

Because you want an external it opens up many options for you. You need not worry about space and can mix and match the best parts available. One thing I really like is that I can have my rig completely free of its cooling system in just a couple of minutes. It makes it much easier to tinker and move to a work station.
