Default Quad-core waterblock

Is there a special waterblock I need for quad cores or will any one work? Also my dad has a socket 478 waterblock, and wants to give me it. But I have 775(you could tell if you looked at my sig!) The 775 version looks exactly the same as the 478. Would it work?

This is the block.

no, the mounting for socket 478 is different, like the spacing between screws. but that just to my knowledge aka last time I checked, but no you dont need a special block any 775 compatible one will work.
