So if you took the heatsink off to cool the nb, what about the SB and w/e that is by the I/O panel
for what im thinking i could get that stuff, but, not the SB since its pretty much covered by the GFX <_<

The thing next to your I/O panel is your Mofset (AKA VREG)
Northbridge Block: http://ekwaterblocks.com/shop/produc...20ad2abfd05a8d Probably the same block for the southbridge though I would just recommed an air cooler for it. Mofset Block: http://ekwaterblocks.com/shop/produc...roducts_id=178

ah sorry, i didnt meen water cooling, im going to have the nb and mofset taken care of another way
but i guess i could use one of those for the sb i just figured this would eb a good place as most aircooling guys dont look into replacing their chipset cooling and a lot of watercooling guys do

no offense guys... but you didnt even read the post
![]() i hate so much when people reply based solely on topic titles the point was i HAVE something for the NB in mind, but since the SB is connected to the NB, i need an idea of something to use on the sb (which is covered by the video card) i was hoping to do it passively

im thinking it can be passivly cooled, i mean its responsible for what? storage, being connected to the NB is probably heating it up not cooling it

I was wondering how cutting the pipe from the NB would affect it. That way I could just leave that section alone. I have some heat probes so I might just do some temp comparisons to see if it would work. I'm running Raid 0 and from what I've been told that adds some heat.

i dont think that will work, theres no surface area of the copper to dissipate the heat

An enzo copper cooler would work. The HR-05IFX would also work. And they ARE passive.... see I read!
