The lathe works, couldn't resist cutting some barbs into the pieces of pipe.
You have to do a little prestreaching of tubing to get it on, but now it's not coming off. Lucky number 7 little barbs holding on. Might as well have some lathe fun, while my mill repair parts make their way.

The lathe is alot of fun, it's just been collecting chips for the last few weeks. It's 1/2" copper pipe which is about 9/16" ID and not quite 5/8" OD.

Oh and here is that old pressure drop comparison I ran way back.
![]() I always liked the copper elbow, I just didn't like not having something better holding the tubing on. These little barbs are very sharp, you'll probably have to cut the tubing off to get it off...
