for that Pled just use a knife or sidecutters and split it down the middle so you have 2 single connectors, ive had to do it many times.

hey guys, back from a quick vacation.
so this morning when i got to the office
pushed the system to 3.825 FSB was
up at the 1800s i forget. system booted
normally, vcore was at 1.44 memory was
clocked to 1233 at dram 2.4. everything
looked great, idle temps were at 35 33 30 30
load temps 47 45 42 42. had it at 100% load
test 3D intensive plus, complex rendering for
about 6 mins before it rebooted.

had a screen shot but it rebooted. ill try again later,
maybe on my lunch but need to get some stuff done
so no time to play just yet. my boss left for the day
so i might have more time then i would normally

How do you like your Maximus? I just got mine last week & broke every OC record I had on my P5N32-E on the first POST! Your temps are awesome, I'm in the low-seventies (B3 quad), but I'm alright with that. I'm sure you've seen THIS link about the P5E3, the Maximus' smaller sister board. It's has great tips about the BIOS. This being my first Intel board in almost a decade, it's been very helpful!

hey cool, thanks for the link.

just a few minutes ago i tryed clocking to 3.7 with no luck
which is kinda weird b/c got it to 3.8 before. im too busy
with work right now to play, i put about 10 to 60 mins of
OC a day, keeps me from getting withdraw. lol right now im
idling at 25c at 3.3 which is fine for me lol. one weird thing
it wouldnt let me exit out of BIO a few times, f10 to save and
exit and it would just hang, for a good while too. my NB is
pretty hot 40c+ give or take 5c. which is alot. dont know if
that is causing me some issues. i would think with all that
downward CFM it would be pretty chilly, guess not.

could it be that my NB is getting alittle too warm?

lol hey thanks, im also a professional photographer aside from being a professional graphic artist.

but im using a simple camera, its a Canon powershot SD1000, i needed a camera and thats what they gave me, so i make do with what i have. simple tip for everyone, macro is your friend. also ISO over Shutter speed. higher the iso the lower you can have your shutter speed the less distorted your shot will be, i know you kids and your shaky hands, not enough caffeine aye.

yea i like the machine alot myself. lol

Hello again. My mobo temp is about 29 with 24 being ambient right now. At load, that increases marginally to very low 30's. I set my NB volts to what it was on my P5N32-E and haven't had any problems. That's around 1.55 with 1.52 reporting in Everest 4.2. I have found some sensitivity with Ai Clock Twister and Ai Transaction Booster, especially with my 2x2 G.Skill PC2-8000s. With the sigged Ballistix, I have more flexibility, so try with those things on AUTO, maybe.

I'm still learning myself and spend about as much time as you daily on my OC. I hope you don't mind if I bookmark your link and compare notes with you. Although I have a B3 quad, I can't believe this board's OC potential compared to my 680i.

Your NHRA photos are incredible. I am a new first-time owner of a DSLR (Nikkon D40x), and absolutely love it. I can certainly appreciate your patience and appreciation for detail (pits2.jpg is awesome). Where can I get your job? I hate mine!

anyways cant get over 430 FSB for some reason...
it locks up at bios, and found out that it was really
unstable at super high loads. i actually lost important
work because it locked up...
