..You mean to just use distilled to leak test with? That would be fine but for coolant I would add a little PT Nuke for a biocide and Pentosin for an anti-corrosive..PT Nuke.....Pentosin......I'll leave you me PDF it has my complete recipe in it.....There are plenty of guys who just run distilled with-out any problems but I like to use a few additives for specific reasons...

quick q. is it generally safe to install mobo with out washer? i mean most systems that ive build
ive used fiber washers, but i dont have any, and the nor the mobo manual or the cm690 specifically states that its is absolutely necessary.

be safe and get some? or its nothing to worry about. i mean most people use them,
i just dont have any left. ill have to pick some up.

I could be wrong, but I think your RAM is placed in the wrong slots. They should be placed in the same colored slots and not side by side

i hate this the most, i mean im the kinda
guy that likes things to look nice. so thinking
and pondering about rad placement, pump,
t-line, fillport, etc. i came up with a few
drawings.

first are some quick 3D primitive sketching,
dimensions are relatively correct, obviously
simple, but everything is in a correct scale

basically i want to know if my setup will be
hit dramaticly if i drop the push pull and go
with a top push. reason i got about 35 mm
of clearance from the roof of the case to the
top of one of the mosfet HSs, and i also got
25mm of clearance in the top cover, now
thats a combined total of 60mm. now the 360
is 55.70mm thick, meaning it can sit in side
the case and not be exposed externally. only
visible things would be the fans, in a push.

now heres the other side. i got 38mm thick
fans, and that means i could have to fab
custom brackets to mount them to the case
which im not opposed too, but at 38mm, that
leaves of 22mm of clearance and in a push-pull
total thickness is 131.7mm which outs my rad
and fans 71mm out of the case or almost 3"
off the top of the case. now i dont know about
you but 3" is quite massive. unless i add alittle
to the case i think thats kinda massive. i got
a few ideas that im going to sketch on tonight
but im just trying to get an opinion here. im not
too worried just thinking out loud. lol. sorry im
crazy.

didnt think the d5 would be that big but i guess it is lol
