I might just mount my rad in the same fashion if I go back to water.

You might want to reverse your fans for your rad. They are currently blowing down, and usually the top of the case is for exhaust. Though you probably knew that have a a grand plan I don't know about.

Air drawn in through the top of the case down-wards, is going to have a lower ambient temp than air from in the case...thus cooling the radiator more.

i recommended them to him as it is quite cheap for RAM that does 1380Mhz (at 2.64vDimm on a Maximus Formula)

exactly and quite frank, they have great warranty and there running great, pushed it to 1200 but clock back down till have have more time to play with it.
