What's in the rest of your setup?

Maybe a fuzion or if on a tight budget...an apogee gt is in order?

Ok, well that should be fine for a single block loop, you should be getting better temps than that. I'm not sure how much heat dump that pump has, but the MCR220 should be ok even if it was dumping all 25 watts (hopefully the specs are accurate)

If you want to know more about the pump heat dump and how well the radiator is working, you can buy one of these aquarium thermometers, or two of them and measure the water vs the air temperature. Hopefully it's around a 5C difference, but if it's 10 or more, it could be the pump heat dump and rated specs are not accurate. One example is the Alphacool AP1510 pump specs, 6m of head and 17 watts, but little do they tell you the 17watts is at the lowest settigns and low flow rate, the actual high end is more like 45 watts.

You can stick the probe in a reservoir or down a T-line temporarily and get some good water temperature readings. Run orthos or TAT for at least 5 minutes before reading a load temp.

If you're open to buying a new block, I would recommend a fuzion or for less money and less performance and apogee gt. EK's new block is turning out to work really well, but it also seems to want extreme pumps. The fuzion is really good at low restriction and performs well even with lower flow rates.

cant find my temp gun atm, but ive never seen water over 30c except with the tec

also, its the block, not water or pump, 41 idle, as soon as i hit start, 65c, within 10 seconds, and yes, its mounted properly with as5, yes both block and cpu are lapped. and yes, the AS5 is cured
