would anyone recommend these barbs? i have 2 of them here that are chromed

Yeah they are fine, there the 1/4" NPT right...Thats about all you used to be able to get...I liked their 9/16" ones for a little better flow, but just about everything has changed over to G1/4 now anyway...

be careful cause it is really hard to get 1/4" tubing off of those once you get it on. I have a 1x1/2" to 4x1/4" block and i wanted to change tubing length to my 4 to 1 adapter and I couldn't. You basically have to cut the tubing off of the barbs. Maybe you could put petroleum jelly on the barbs to help, i have done that before but just make sure the tubing length is right if you use those. If you are only gonna use the 1/2" id you might be alright just check before you install.
