Default Adding a refrigeration unit to WC system

Hi,

I've "acquired" a refrigeration unit, a shelf cooler which is used to chill lager in pubs to the desired temperature. It gets filled with water which is then chilled, and there is a flow pipe which passes through the chilled water to cool whatever is passing through. I'm going to try and rig it up in my WC system, think I'm being stupid or will this work out well? If I get it sorted I'll add some pics

Cool, glad my idea wasn't silly. It's a fairly large one, it has three seperate chilling mains though I'll only be using one for now. If it works well I could create a second loop for my GPU only Only problem is it's even bigger than my armor case lol, but if it does the job I'm not going to complain. Might have to upgrade my pump or put in a second pump, will have to see how it goes.

Ahh good point. The tubing will get condensated? How would I combat this? What insulation materials or grease?

only an issue if the temp of the chilled water is below the dew-point in the room

Just use some split foam pipe insulation on the tubing....Then use dielectric grease in the socket and neoprene and conformal on your mobo...

...Condensation Prevention

...Pelt Condensation Proofing (out-dated but good)

Don't forget you wont need a rad with a chiller it would actually make your loop hotter..

Ok, well one line will chill to 4c, and the other will chill to 10c. I think I'll test with the 10c one first in a loop outside my computer to check out the condensate issue.
