busy is for sure... with school and work i barely have anytime! but its worth it. just started my 6 week project, im schooling to become a car designer, they are pushy let me tell you.

More goodies......It is a lot of fun...I'm more into the cooling part rather then case modding and keeping it tidy anymore, I still like to see nice builds though,and you are doing some very nice clean builds.......Are you going to leave all that stock heat-pipe stuff or go after-market on it?

fow now just the stock cooling for the board, since there really isnt any cooler for the board yet tho ek has a set for the 680i for mosfet and mip has a block for the south bridge/nforce chip and theres got to be a ek block that fits the NB

i really do like the cooling part side too, but its a show case lol

Yeah its fun, its one of my main pass times anymore.....Always something to made or a new configuration to try...I love getting the last 50 or 100mhz out of a chip to that your cooling can handle,its the most frustrating but the most rewarding also...

I always pull that heat pipe stuff off when I can and put good HSF's on it...If you cant replace them right now you might want to pull them off and straight-edge it and lap it if needed...I always do that on any new mobo, some of them are so warped its not even funny....

after hours of deliberation ive come to a conclusion that i will be running two loops (yay)

loops as follow

cpu: d5>360gtx>ek supreme> ek res-150
gpu: d5> mcr320>dd ione>dd ione> tline

now for the useless info

the top of the case was larger then anticipated, much larger then a standard 120mm fan, i have not yet checked of a rad grill would be able to accommodate the size but its a possibility and may be a good choose. the distance from the ceiling of case to the top of the mobo is just enough to clear a mcr320 with those slip streams, just barely. it would actually push against the mosfet HS. the open area i have in the bottom is not enough to accommodate both the 360gtx and a mcr320, well it can but i wont be able to fit the fans... so untill the mcr320 comes im not sure how im going to do this. my petra order should be at my doorsteps tomorrow so i could start with wire management. bought a lot of rubber grommets and what not, also got some 1/2" ID tubing to help with flow on my CPU loop.

so ive decided were the ek will sit, and have decided to put in a floor panel, i like what they did with the open areas and what not but im going to put my own floor in.

so we should see some drilling action tomorrow on the mobo tray, and some wires.

hopefully the rest of my stuff comes in soon.

if this rig is going to be place on a floor above ground level. You might want to make sure the weight of it will be supported by more then one cross-beam in the floor. This way it doesn't rapidly make it's way down to the floor level via gravity. haha
