I recently bought the parts for a water cooling setup that I have wanted for a long time. I spent a rare Saturday morning off work to assemble my new loop. (Please forgive the low picture quality, phone camera)
Pic 1 My case Pic 2 My board, with the mighty Tuniq tower ![]() Pic 3 & 4 Some drilling for cable mangement, and for the tubing. (I know they are odd sizes and misshapen, but I broke three drill bits and couldnt be bothered to file them down anymore )Pic 5 The goods

My naked HD3850. Pic 7 The HD3850 with the very pretty EK full coverage block mounted. Pic 8 The Fuzion, with the excess rubber cleaned out and the nozzle to be fitted (bad pic sorry) Pic 9 Fuzion mounted Pic 10 Finished loop BUT............ Not a happy ending I'm affraid ![]() Filled the loop with the coolant and began leak testing. The barbs on the ThermoChill rad would not stop leaking . I used PTFE tape but it kept slowly dripping. So I had to drain (what a pain in the arse!!) and go back on air. Ive ordered the new thermochill barbs with a rubber seal, but I got to wait now until I can get time off work to rebuild my loop.Things Ive learnt. I really enjoyed the whole process (except when the rad leaked). Definately putting a t-line in, for when I need to drain it. Going to use distilled water, my fingers, my case, my carpet, all got stained orange, NICE But all in all a fun experience, cant wait to get back at it, anyone considering water cooling, go for it!

Hehe, I like the Ameoba shaped holes you cut.
Looks good. Very clean looking in the final picture. I like. I'm going to be going water once the Q9450 happens. Definately looking forward to it.

Yeah, it looks clean.
![]() Maybe get some florescent tubing in there next time you get a chance, other then that, it looks like it will get you some nice temps.

as5 on memory? make sure you dont put too much, it is semi conductive may cause shorts.
but looks like you got some really nice parts! good luck, take your time especially on the case. your mods represent you so you want to look the part ![]() but yea the loop looks good edit: just read your leaking problem sorry to hear that, ive never used thermochills, but i have used ek barbs and they seal great, petra should have some ek barbs for the your rad you might want to consider. ive never really had a leaky barb incident, but i would assume that some med strength thread lock would do the job, i use it on everything, seals and keeps those barbs on tight but not to tight just enough to be able to remove them

Looks great...Thanks for the pic's...
..You can dry your barbs and the rad threads, oput a little clear silicone on about the top 2/3's of the barbs screw them in and let it cure a couple of days and it should be fine..Or just wait on the new barbs... ..![]()

if you use too much thread tape on any kind of fitting it can actually do more harm than good. the standard thermochill barbs (the plastic ones) suck nuts. the chrome bspp oring fittigns work great though. i dont trust any plastic fittings anymore
