Default D-Tek FuZion GFX or MCW60

D-Tek FuZion GFX GPU Waterblock

Swiftech MCW60-R GPU Waterblock

First of all, will these both fit on a g92 board?
Second of all, are these both... good? they looked good to me.
I have heard good things about the D-Tek FuZions.
These are for my first (still hypothetical atm) WC system.

I will probably pair them with this.

So, final question, which one will cool better?

If it's a GPU-only then you could go with the FuZion GFX.

If otherwise, go with the less restrictive MCW60 to put with a CPU, etc.

ok thanks, only problem is that its sold out at PT.

I may just add GPU to the loop afterwards.

I agree, the GFX is extremely restrictive. On an 8800GT you won't gain anything in overclocking by the small thermal performance gain of the GFX. I would only do it if you had a GPU only loop.

In a multiple block loop, you'd be better served by the MCW-60.

I have the FuZion GFX in a two-block loop with my CPU (D5 Vario Pump) and it works fine.

arg, such conflicting advice!

What about a CPU, NB, and GPU loop?

Probably best to go with the less restrictive then.

Rule of thumb is 1 GPM, total, but it really is a matter of what you want more cooling emphasis on.

Not to say it wouldn't work in a multiple block loop, but a GPU by nature is more resiliant to higher heat loads, so generally most people prefer to maximize their flow rate for the CPU.

The differences are pretty small though especially if your overall system is at or above 1 GPM.

Martin, according to your flowrate estimator (great work, btw) it estimates ~1.5GPM (over 7' of 7/16" tubing) with a D5 vario at max, Dtek Fuzion stock, Dtek Fuzion GFX, and a PA120.3 with a res. Would that be sufficient enough flow to maintain good temperatures?

With the MCW60 instead, the rating is ~2.15GPM, isn't that a bit overkill?
