WaterCooler

Okay, so I am going to be upgrading to the Q9450 here in a couple (hopefully) of weeks and I wanted to get some suggestions/run some thoughts by you guys on watercooling.
I am most likely going to be cooling my CPU and have the possibility to add my GPU to the loop as well if I chose to. I already have a general idea of what I want to get, but I wanted to run these by you guys so you could check for inconsistancies. Advice is always appreciated. ![]() I have never done this before (poppin' the cherry) but I have faith in my abilities and I know that I have a great forum to fall back on if I have any major concerns! Well, with that said, here is the setup that I am looking at purchasing. CPU Block - EK Supreme Universal Block 1/2" $64.99 (Would a Dtek FuZion be better?) *Fuzion ordered instead* Rad - HW Labs GT Extreme 360 $124.95 Pump - Swiftech MCP655 Inline $87.99 *Ordered* Fans - Yate Loon D12SH-12 120mm Fans (x6 push/pull) $5.95 (4/$19.96) *$31.86 Tubing - 7/16" ID Tygon R-3603 $2.99/ft (How much am I most likely going to need? Rad going to be externally mounted.)*7ft ordered mastercleer instead* Res - EK-RES250 Rev.2 $49.99 (295mL too much? Not enough?) Antifungal - PT Nuke $2.99 *Pentosin instead ordered* I know I also need clamps and anti-crimping stuff (not necessary though, right?) Can anyone see any really obvious problems with this setup (copper -> aluminum, etc?) And is a T-Line recommended? If I have a res is it overkill? Or if I go with a T-Line is a res no necessary? This is going to go into my sig rig with a new quad here soon, will it be more than sufficient? I intend to do some decent/serious overclocks and watercooling has always interested me. Also, what would be the best config for this loop? Pump>cpu>(gpu eventually)>rad>res/t-line>pump? Well thats about it, my brain is beginning to wander after a wee bit of a long post. If anyone sees any obvious omisions I would appreciate if they were pointed out. ![]() Thanks Clinic *Edit Oh, and if anyone can link me to places that are cheaper I would love it. Hah.

It looks good, but the Fuzion with the nozzle kit would be better than the EK block. I would also recommend getting 120mmx38mm fans instead of 120x25mm ones. They are a quieter and produce a larger pressure.

Doesn't look bad..I think I would go with a Fuzion, I just haven't heard a lot about the EK yet, I really don't know if its better or worse...You can buy pre-made nozzles for the Fuzion if you want to try them....I run my loop res-pump-rad-cpu-any other blocks, that way the coolest water will hit the cpu first...Some guys like to have their cpu right after the pump so it will get max turbulence through the block..
I like Masterkleer tubing a lot better then Tygon...7/16x5/8".Its a lot cheaper to...You might want a few feet of the Tygon if you have any really sharp bends, it will out bend Masterkleer by a little bit..... I like to run a little Pentosin in my loop at 10 or 11-1 with distilled water..Pentosin..I'll leave you my PDF it has all of my recipe in it... I like a res better because i can bleed faster with one when I keep it at the highest point in the loop... These are a little cheaper here... ...D-5 ... FuZion CPU Block These are my favorite WC'ing stores besides Petra's... ...Sidewinders ...Danger Den ...Jab-tech Heres some stuff you might like to read, be sure to go over all the stickies here also... ...Assembling your Custom Watercooling Setup ...Bleeding my WC setup.. ...Water Cooling - In English ..D-Tek Fuzion install tip! Well I ordered everything except for the res, I will order that tomorrow I suppose.
Thanks for the help. You'll probably be seeing more of me in the watercooling section.
