Yes you can, just make sure not to get the el-cheapo stuff with thin side walls.

if u do get the cheapo stuff, make sure to hoseclamp/ziptie the tubes.

I'd only use Home depot tubing as a stop gap until you can get some better tubing shipped. It will work, but it was (for me) extremely hard to work with. I threw mine out. However, if you need something quick, by all means go ahead. Maybe change it out on your next cleaning cycle if you end up not liking it.

Yeah... the stuff @ HD is pretty good. I always buy that stuff for replacement hoses on my dishwasher. The water comes straight from my water heater, then out the drain pipe, it still is pretty rigid for 100F+ water running through it.
