Hi,
__________________I'm almost finished with my watercooling project and have one major worry. A Leak.... This is prompting me to ask the following question. Who's experienced leaks with their watercooling setup, what was the circimstances surrounding the leak, what equipment was being used, did any damage result from the leak, and when did it happen? To be honest, i'm more worried about my girl friend getting upset if coolant hits the marble floor, than my computer getting fried... ![]()

I've only had one leak. That was when I decided to go all cheapo and use a thermaltake radiator. The radiator leaked on my 8800 GT and killed it. Now that I bought more quality products, I haven't had a single leak.

My Friend Torture Tested His System for 42 Hours at Full Power Outside His Pc,
He Fried 2 Of his Cheap Radiator fans, and almost burned out the 10.99 Pump he bought.. but no Leaks of any kinds Use Quality Parts like Swiftech, Nice Thick Hoses And Tighten those Clamps Good and you should be ok

I've not had any leaks but the cause for a lot of them is the o-ring on the barbs...If they are overtightened they deform and will cause leaks and if they are not tightened enough they will leak...I yank mine off and use Permatex on them...I'll leave you my PDF where I tell how I do mine if your interested...

Had one, and it was a "USER ERROR, SELF INFLICTED LEAK".
First loop I thought it would be wise to put my bay reservoir on top of my case right above the PSU. You can see where this is going... Spilled a little bleading out. Powered on for about two seconds before the PSU was toast. ... Three weeks later I was off and running again... ![]() Be careful and leak test, and be carefull WHEN FILLING!!

I initially had a very slow leak from one of the barb threads on my PA120.3. It came with plastic barbs which had some Teflon tape around the threads. Leaked anyway. I removed and added more tape. Problem solved. I discovered this during leak testing, so it didn't cause an issue.

Yes be careful with everything you do. I've been very fortunate and have never had one (although I did really tighten some of my barbs in my last build).
hey, at least it's not carpet .

One of my rads had leaks upon arrival. But testing showed it up.
