Default Anodized aluminum

Hi,

I'm using two Coolant Temperature Sensor from Koolance and just found out the blocks are made of anodized aluminum. Should I be concerned about galvanic corrosion?

I'm not an expert, but I don't think you should have to worry.

Yeah if you get a scratch in the anodizing it will corrode sooner then later on you....

I make fairly non-restrictive temp probes out of these...Alphacool TEMP .....With this for a read-out...XSPC LCD ...Just cut the tape probe off the LCD display and solder a 3-pin onto it, its just 2 wires on it and the probe has a 2-pin female on it...Drop it into a 1/2" T with the tip in the flow just a little so it will be accurate....The tips are beveled so you wont restrict flow much...Then I silicone it in and heat shrink it....

You can see one in this pic to the left of the pressure gauge...I have one right before the rad and one right after..Nothing fancy but it works and you don't have to worry about corrosion..

Well
A) Koolance isn't top dog anymore, getting pretty shoddy gear
B) Aluminum anodization will eventually wear off and corrupt the rest of the loop.
C) there are better ways to monitor temp, and IN line is very restrictive...
