Default Big heatpipe removal?

Ok a question:
If you have a motherboard with like big heatpipes and things for eg the passive cooler on the northbridge which is connect by heatpipes to the southbridge, and the voltage regulators, and you wanted to remove it because you wanted water cooling on ur northbridge, would u then have to get a block for the southbridge and the regulators?

Depends on the motherboard.
Some have the Mosfets separate from the NB/SB.

Also, the SB doesn't usually get that hot to require watercooling, so a passive heatsink with or without a fan would work fine for it.

You can get blocks for those or just get a heatsink and stick it on. I wouldn't leave it naked, you could really fry something

Or you could take your stock heatsink cooling solution (I'm assuming its a sort of large cooling pipe thingy) and cut off the SB portion of it and just reattach that part. As long as its fins are large enough, or you are comfortable enough, or you have enough ambient case airflow, you should be fine.
