Default DDC 3.2 Pump Top Shootout..10 tops tested

Whew...that took some work! Not sure I want to do the same for the DDC2..

It was alot of fun though and very interesting

Here is a link to details with pictures and individual charts on my site.

And the curves:

Update: I added the overvolting/undervolting chart...Now with powerconsumption curves.

Cheers!
Martin

WOO thanks Martin, just like I suspected the XSPC Top is top dog out of all of those, the only one which I know of that performs even better is the new OC Labs top however they're made from a blow mould (injection mould?) type of plastic which has a tendency to crack fairly easy.
Any reason you didn't test this one?

Glad to finally see some proper testing done on all the latest tops and congrats to Paul at XSPC for actully imrproving the top instead of making a random generic one, shall be buying him a beer at i33 in a few weeks

EDIT: Maybe now people will beleive me when I tell them that Petras top isn't the best performing out there!!!

So if I'm reading this right, the XSPC ResTop is the best overall performing top for the DDC3.2? I applaud your investment of time and patience to spell it out for us laymen.

I've been asking OClabs for a sample and they told me by email they were out of stock, but would send me a sample in a few weeks.

If I get a top (crossing my fingers), I'll add it in and amend the page.. I also need to order some G3/8" barbs so I can test the EK G3/8 X-top and add it in as well.

Thanks!

Ah fair enough, I would be tempted to try and blag both their old top AND their new top.

Old one is the one in my avatar, VERY similar to the XSPC top you have used in the testing whereas the new one is.. well.. naff quality
RMA rate on them is unbeleivable, so much so that Rob decided to stock stocking them until they pulled their finger out.
