Default loop suggestions

well I am deciding to WC everything in my case other than the hard drives and ram. so the NB, SB, mosfets, 2x 8800GTs and a Q6600

well ive decided on all the blocks so far this is my list (I have it and going to order soon)

Q6600 - D-tek Fuzion Stock

8800GTs - 2 x EK full cover WB (EK-FC88)

NB - EK 780i NB

SB - EK680i NB ( I have seen a few ppl use these and they work if you dont do tri - SLI)

Mosfets - EK 680i Mosfet part 1 (part 2 will be left stock, might buy ViperJohn's 780i mosfet set)

Radiator I have atm - Black Ice Extreme III
my question is I can only make 2 loops in the case I am thinking of.

what would be the best loop order and what radiator would you suggest for the second loop.

and yes I know WCing the NB and SB and mosfets is overkill but I already made the decision to do it because I dont like when i see over 60C on the NB when im idle does not work well with me.

thanks for all the info

Personally, I would leave out the NB/SB and mosfet from your loops. Just get some good air coolers to replace the stock ones. Its not worth the money to get those w/c as they might hurt your temps more than anything. The thing about the air coolers is that you'll be able to save $$ for a new pump and you'll get about the same temp drop without hurting your CPU temps.

CPU Loop:

PUMP > RAD (240) > CPU > RES/T-LINE

GPU Loop:

PUMP > RAD (one that you have) > GPU1 > GPU2 > RES/T-LINE

System: Pure 1nhibition

what would you suggest for the air cooling then because I have noe found anything and I was thinking of going along the lines of (because I have chosen the Cosmos S as my case)

as have the 360 on top with the 2 GPUs, the 240 in front with the CPU and a 120 at the bottom with the NB/SB adn mosfets?? going along the lines of the obvious order in a loop such as res pump rad WB res.

but If I were to go with two loops which I probably would which loop would it be on the 360 or the 240?

The GPU loop would get the 360 and your CPU only would get the 240

well that only covers the SB adn the mosfets which I have chosen to go with:

SB: EnzoTech SLF-1 One-Piece Forged Copper Southbridge Cooler (w/ Fan)

and the Mosfets: ViperJohn 780i Mosfet Heatsink Kit

but the 780i NB is still left idk what to go with?....would adding that to right after the CPU loop right after the CPU WB be ok? I have 3 DDC3.2s so would i put 2 on GPU and 1 on CPU or the other way around?

Ya your probably better of just w/c the NB as there is another chip (NF200) next to it that needs to be cooled as well. I would put it with your CPU loop.

PUMP > RAD > CPU > NB > RES/T-LINE

well thanks alot for the help so I've made my decision ive gone with:

NB - EK 780i Acetal NB

SB - Enzotech soutbride with fan

mosfets - Viperjohn's 780i set

now I just need to find a good 240 Rad that will fit in the front of the Cosmos S hopefully

and i'm going with 2 DDC3.2 w/ XSPC tops on the GPU loop and one DDC3.2 w/XSPC top on CPU loop hopefully it works out im thinking of going with a stealth in the front don't know how much space is up there

The stealth is a great choice I have a GTS360 and it is very thin, I can't imagine how small the 240 would be

keep cpu by itself, and everybody here will know more about the order of the loop than me, so don't even ask me about that one.

yea i have a 240 GTS X-flow now in a different system looks great though loved how thin it was and even if it happens that the GTS does not fit in the front I wont mind placing it in the back with a rad box because it does not even stick that far out
