Smile Watercooling...Right for me?

So in the summer im making a new build...

Q6600
Gigabyte DS3L

And this setup...

Pump: Laing DDC1-T Pro With XSPC Top
Rad: Black ICE III [360]
CPU-Tek Fuzion CPU Block
Coolant: Feser one [Blooo!!]
N' The rest [Clips, hose etc - XSPC GPU Block if i have the money]

What im asking is

My watercooling setup is going to cost around £187 [After discount ]

I am considering just getting a Zalman 9700

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...=57&subcat=821

Which would save me £150

I could prob only OC My Q6600 to around 3.2-3.4GHz with that, but thats not too bad, then i could spend money on other things - higher speed RAM, better hard drive etc

What do you think guys?

Im 17, 18 this year. Very confident with my computer and have a lot of iniative, i built my first computer on my 15th birthday and from looking @ guides etc watercooling wouldnt be too hard for me.

Im just wondering if im better of with a sexy air cooler and getting don hardware, at present i dont have a job

Thanks

I think that you should go with the Zalman for now and experiment it with your Quad. Take your time and once you feel that you've pushed it to the max on air, then it might be time to start thinking about taking the plunge

Keep it simple and maintenance free. Stick with air. Go with a Tuniq Tower or a TRUE.

Liquid Cooling a Q6600 isn't going to get you that much more. Yes Liquid Cooling looks awesome, but it costs Awesome too.

Don't be fooled. These Water Cooling people are only trying to recruit you to evil.

Satan.

BTW: You have 311 Rep. That's a terrificly good number to have.

I don't know how high you can get that Quad on that board too. You'll want to look into that as well when making your decision. A TRUE or Tuniq Tower will get you a great overclock, but Liquid Cooling will always get you more (well almost always). However, Water Cooling can be dangerous to your system, if you are an idiot about managing it, and it tends to be much much more expensive.

Like I said, I would go with air to keep it simple, and get your rig stable for a few weeks before getting it on water.
